Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. RapidRise yeast
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 1/2 sticks light corn oil margarine
  • 1/2 c. Egg Beaters
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. yeast
  • 8 c. plain flour

Instructions

  1. Put yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in lukewarm water and set aside to activate.
  2. Melt margarine in boiling water, then add cold water to make it lukewarm.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the margarine-water mixture with the remaining sugar and salt, stirring well.
  4. Add the yeast mixture to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
  5. Gradually add the flour and mix into a soft dough.
  6. Pour some corn oil into a large bowl and place the dough inside, turning to coat with oil to prevent a crust.
  7. Cover and refrigerate the dough overnight.
  8. When ready to bake, punch down the dough and pinch off small pieces.
  9. Place the pieces into a greased pan, then let them rise in a warm place.
  10. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  11. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
