Ingredients

  • 3 lb. short ribs
  • 1 Tbsp. fat or oil
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Have ribs cut 2 or 3 inches long.
  2. Brown short ribs in oil and minced onions.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to short ribs.
  4. Cover and cook slowly in Dutch oven or crock-pot or bake in moderate oven at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
