Ingredients

  • 1 cup lentils
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • dash of allspice
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 large onion

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion in olive oil until browned.
  2. Cook lentils in water with salt and garlic until tender.
  3. Add browned onion, rice, allspice, and olive oil to the lentils.
  4. Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the mixture is creamy and rice is cooked through.
