- Run nuts, raisins and coconut through food chopper.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs, milk (in which soda has been dissolved), jam, spices, flour and chopped ingredients.
- Bake in three well-greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Cool and put together with filling.
