Ingredients

  • 4 lb. onions
  • 1 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 lb. Old English cheese, grated
  • 1/2 box Ritz crackers, crushed

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the onions.
  2. Put the sliced onions into cold water and bring to a boil. Drain.
  3. Add more water and salt; cook until the onions are transparent. Drain.
  4. Place the cooked onions and butter in a casserole dish and let cool.
  5. Add grated Old English cheese and sprinkle crushed Ritz crackers over the top.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour until golden and bubbly.
