- Heat milk and margarine together in a saucepan until the margarine melts.
- Pour into a large bowl and let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes until lukewarm.
- Add 1/2 cup sugar, salt, and well-beaten eggs to the milk mixture and mix well.
- Add 2 cups of flour to the milk mixture and stir well.
- Dissolve the yeast and remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar in the warm water (100° to 120°) and add to the flour mixture.
- Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a sticky dough.
