Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups warm water
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 to 8 1/2 cups white flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Warm a large bowl to prepare for dough rising.
  2. Add warm water and dissolve the yeast in it.
  3. Add melted butter, white sugar, eggs, 4 cups of flour, and salt to the yeast mixture.
  4. Mix until the dough is shiny and free of lumps.
  5. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  6. Place the dough in a large bowl.
  7. Cover tightly with plastic wrap.
  8. Refrigerate for 8 to 10 hours, or up to 2 to 3 days before using.
