Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 pound soft butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Cream together the soft butter, sugar, and eggs.
  2. Add vanilla extract to the creamed mixture.
  3. Sift the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt) and add alternately with sour cream to the creamed mixture.
  4. Pour half of the batter into a well-greased ten-inch tube pan.
  5. Sprinkle three-fourths of the filling and raisins onto the batter in the pan.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the filling to cover it.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining filling on top.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 to 50 minutes.
