Instructions
- Mix butter, sugar, and salt into the scalded milk.
- Dissolve yeast in the lukewarm water.
- When the milk is lukewarm, add 2 cups of flour, then the yeast, then 2 more cups of flour.
- Cover the mixture and let it rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.
- Pinch off pieces of dough the size of a walnut and place 3 in each section of a greased muffin tin.
- Dip fingers in the remaining flour while shaping the dough.
- Let the formed rolls set until doubled in size, about 15 minutes.
- Bake at 400°F until golden brown.
- Brush with butter immediately after baking and remove from the tin.
