Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup canning salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 quarts cucumbers, cut in chunks
  • red pepper (optional)
  • dill seed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place 6 green grapes in a quart jar, then pack small washed cucumbers to fill the jar.
  2. Add 3 more green grapes, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 tablespoon salt to the jar.
  3. Fill the jar to 1 inch from the top with a mixture of equal parts vinegar and water.
  4. Seal the jars and boil them in a hot water bath until the water comes to a boil.
