Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups Crisco oil
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 cups grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mint

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the oil, grated cheese, evaporated milk, baking powder, and flour to the beaten eggs.
  3. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured deep ovenproof pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool before slicing.
  7. Serve cold or hot as desired.
