Ingredients

  • 1 frozen bread dough roll, thawed
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup green peppers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 pound ham
  • 1/4 pound salami
  • 1/4 pound Provolone cheese
  • 1.5 ounces pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Thaw the bread dough in the refrigerator.
  2. Saute green peppers and mushrooms in butter.
  3. Line a cookie sheet with foil and lightly grease it.
  4. Pat the dough to form a square on the prepared sheet.
  5. Cover the center third of the dough with ham, salami, cheese, and pepperoni.
  6. Sprinkle the sautéed mushrooms and green peppers over the meats and cheese.
  7. Cut the remaining two-thirds of the dough into strips.
  8. Fold the strips toward the center, alternating sides to create a woven pattern.
  9. Pinch the ends of the dough closed to seal the loaf.
  10. Let the dough rise for about 2 hours until doubled in size.
  11. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes if using white bread dough, or 30 minutes if using wheat bread dough.
