Ingredients

  • 3 slices salt pork
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 medium-sized catfish
  • 1 onion
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 can of tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the salt pork in a large pot.
  2. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the catfish and onions to the water and boil for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the bones from the fish and return the fish to the water.
  5. Add the diced potatoes, can of tomatoes, and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Simmer the stew for 1 hour until flavors meld and potatoes are tender.
