Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 4 or 5 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 head cabbage

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, layer the smoked sausage, peeled and quartered potatoes, thickly sliced onion, and cabbage in order listed.
  2. Add enough water to steam the ingredients.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Cover and cook for approximately 30 minutes.
  5. Continue cooking until the vegetables and sausage reach desired tenderness.
