A hearty brunch casserole combining savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and melted cheddar, topped with bread and baked to perfection—ideal for weekend gatherings or special mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 slices bread
  • 4 oz Cheddar cheese
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage in a skillet.
  2. Pour the cooked sausage and grease into a casserole dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage in the casserole dish.
  5. Cube the slices of bread and lay them over the top of the meat and egg mixture.
  6. Grate the Cheddar cheese and sprinkle it over the top of the casserole.
  7. Refrigerate the casserole overnight.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 35 to 45 minutes until the egg mixture reaches your preferred scrambled egg consistency.
  9. Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
