Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Drain off the excess fat from the sausage.
  3. Add chopped onion and chopped green pepper to the skillet and cook until tender.
  4. Stir in sugar, salt, chili powder, canned tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
  5. Cover the skillet and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Top with grated cheese before serving.
