Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 c. Bisquick mix
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. caraway seed
  • 1 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. Cook the sausage and chopped onion over medium heat until the sausage is browned; drain excess fat.
  4. Mix the Bisquick mix, milk, and 1 egg until well combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Sprinkle the caraway seeds over the batter.
  7. Top the batter with the cooked sausage and onion mixture.
  8. Mix the sour cream, salt, and the remaining egg until smooth, then pour evenly over the sausage layer.
  9. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  10. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until set.
  11. Cut into rectangles approximately 2 x 1.5 inches to serve.
