Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 small can chopped mushrooms
  • 1 c. elbow macaroni
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 lb. American cheese
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger in a skillet, adding chopped onion if desired.
  2. While browning the meat, cook the elbow macaroni until tender and then drain.
  3. Add the tomato soup, American cheese pieces, and chopped mushrooms to the cooked hamburger mixture.
  4. Pour the combined mixture into a casserole dish.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
