- Blend cornmeal with 1 cup of chicken broth in a small container.
- Brown the sausage until crumbly in a skillet.
- Drain excess fat from the sausage.
- Add remaining chicken broth to the sausage and bring to a boil.
- Slowly stir in the cornmeal mixture, stirring constantly for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add sage, thyme, and savory, then reduce heat and continue stirring.
- Spoon the mixture into a 4 x 8-inch loaf pan.
- Cover and chill overnight or for at least 3 hours.
- Slice into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- Coat slices with flour and brown in butter before serving.
