Savory eggs baked with cheddar cheese and a creamy mustard mixture create a comforting dish perfect for breakfast, brunch, or casual gatherings, customizable with favorite add-ins.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Spread grated Cheddar cheese in the dish and dot with butter.
  3. Combine heavy cream, salt, pepper, and prepared mustard in a bowl.
  4. Pour half of the cream mixture over the cheese in the dish.
  5. Crack eggs over the cheese and cream mixture in the dish. Pour the remaining cream mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes until set and golden.
  7. Optional: add mushrooms, ham, broccoli, bacon, or other desired ingredients before baking.
