- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Spread grated Cheddar cheese in the dish and dot with butter.
- Combine heavy cream, salt, pepper, and prepared mustard in a bowl.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the cheese in the dish.
- Crack eggs over the cheese and cream mixture in the dish. Pour the remaining cream mixture on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes until set and golden.
- Optional: add mushrooms, ham, broccoli, bacon, or other desired ingredients before baking.
