Ingredients

  • 6 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
  • 3 slices Tennessee country ham, fried
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup buttered crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend the butter and flour together in a saucepan and cook until the butter is melted.
  2. Add the milk a little at a time and cook the mixture until it boils.
  3. Grease a baking dish and put a little of the sauce in the bottom.
  4. Add a layer of sliced eggs, then a layer of chopped ham.
  5. Repeat with more sauce, eggs, and ham until the dish is filled.
  6. Cover the top with buttered crumbs.
  7. Bake until the sauce is thickened and bubbly.
