Scalloped Mushrooms

Creamy scalloped mushrooms layered with bread crumbs and butter, baked to perfection. A comforting side dish ideal for mushroom lovers and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Place one-third of the sliced mushrooms in a buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  2. Cover with one-third of the bread crumbs and drizzle with one-third of the melted butter.
  3. Repeat with the remaining mushrooms, bread crumbs, and butter, layering each time.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste and pour the white wine all over the layered mushrooms.
  5. Cover the dish and bake at 325°F for 25 minutes.
  6. Just before serving, mix the remaining butter and bread crumbs and spoon over the mushrooms.
  7. Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
