Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried apricots or canned apricots
  • 1/3 cup chopped dates
  • 1/3 cup golden raisins
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (garlic or onion)
  • 1 pound mild cheese, grated
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. If dried apricots are used, chop and soak in 1 cup water for 2 hours; drain.
  2. Alternatively, use canned apricots as preferred.
  3. Combine grated cheese, softened cream cheese, chopped dried apricots, chopped dates, golden raisins, poppy seed, seasoned salt, and chopped pecans.
  4. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
  5. Shape the mixture into small balls.
  6. Optional: Chill before serving.
