  1. Prepare wooden skewers by soaking them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Thread the scallops onto the skewers.
  3. In a small bowl, coat the scallops lightly with flour.
  4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  5. Add bay leaves to the butter and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Place the skewered scallops into the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot, optionally garnished with additional butter or herbs.
