Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups quick rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces chocolate morsels
  • 1/4 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine melted margarine, oats, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt in a 2-quart dish.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish to form a crust.
  3. Cook in the microwave on full power for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbling all over.
  4. Top with chocolate morsels and microwave for 1 minute or until melted.
  5. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the crust and chill until set.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.
