Ingredients

  • 3 lb. sugar
  • 1 1/2 lb. corn syrup or glucose
  • 1 pt. water
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 c. marshmallow cream
  • vanilla
  • nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, corn syrup or glucose, and water in a saucepan, cover with a lid, and cook until the mixture reaches soft ball stage or 250°F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. Add marshmallow cream and vanilla to the mixture.
  4. Stir in nuts.
  5. Beat the mixture until shiny.
  6. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper or a buttered plate to cool and set.
