Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 or 3 small cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 large can tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. sugar
  • 1 can tomato juice
  • 1 lb. spaghetti
  • 1 can tuna, drained

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.
  2. Add minced garlic, diced onion, and drained tuna; cook and brown over moderate heat for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and sugar; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 3 hours.
