Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups Minute rice
  • 1 package frozen peas
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Mix water with cream of mushroom soup, chopped onion, salt, lemon juice, and pepper in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour about half of the soup mixture into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  4. Layer in the partially thawed frozen peas, rice, and tuna.
  5. Add the rest of the soup mixture on top.
  6. Sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese and paprika.
  7. Cover and bake in a 375°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes of baking, cut through with a knife.
