Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light.
  2. Add ricotta cheese and blend well.
  3. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture; alternate with milk.
  5. Blend well until smooth.
  6. Drop by tablespoon into deep, hot oil.
  7. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden.
  8. Turn once during frying.
  9. Drain on paper towels and let cool.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
