Creamy shrimp-filled deviled eggs combine tender egg yolks with savory shrimp and fresh green onion, creating a delightful appetizer perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup sandwich spread
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • dash hot pepper sauce
  • salt to taste
  • 6 medium shrimp, cooked and finely chopped
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Cut peeled eggs lengthwise into halves.
  2. Slip out yolks and mash them with a fork.
  3. Mix in sandwich spread, prepared mustard, hot pepper sauce, and salt.
  4. Stir in cooked, finely chopped shrimp and chopped green onion.
  5. Fill egg whites with the yolk mixture, heaping it lightly. A pastry bag can be used for filling.
  6. Arrange on a large plate, cover, and chill.
  7. Garnish with paprika, if desired.
