Ingredients

  • 2 lb. medium shrimp, cleaned
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 4 garlic pods, chopped
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Saute onions, bell pepper, garlic, and half of the green onions in butter.
  2. Add tomato paste and sugar; cook for 1 hour.
  3. Add shrimp and remaining green onions.
  4. Cook for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice.
