Ingredients

  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups boiled, deveined shrimp
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 shakes black pepper

Instructions

  1. Stir rice, tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper into the rice steamer and let steam for 30 minutes.
  2. While the rice is steaming, fry bacon until crisp and brown the onion in bacon grease.
  3. Break up the crisp bacon into pieces.
  4. Add the cooked bacon, sautéed onion, boiled shrimp, and bacon grease into the steamed rice.
  5. Fluff up the rice and steam for another 30 minutes before serving.
