Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground hot sausage
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 qt. spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb. pasta (wheels, corkscrews, or other)
  • 1/2 lb. pepperoni
  • 1 small can mushroom pieces, drained
  • 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, hot sausage, diced green pepper, and diced onion in a skillet until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
  2. Spread 1/2 of the spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer half of the cooked pasta over the sauce.
  4. Add the sliced pepperoni evenly over the pasta.
  5. Distribute the drained mushroom pieces and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pepperoni.
  6. Add the remaining cooked pasta, followed by the rest of the spaghetti sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
