Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt the butter and then stir in the sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the nuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
