Simple Skinny Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 (28 ounce) jar pasta sauce ⓘ
- 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey ⓘ
- 1/2 cup shredded low-fat Monterey Jack cheese ⓘ
- 1/4 cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese ⓘ
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced spinach ⓘ
- 1 extra large egg ⓘ
- 1 medium shallot, diced ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon olive oil ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon sea salt ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Pour pasta sauce into a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.
- Combine turkey, Monterey Jack cheese, feta cheese, spinach, egg, shallot, Parmesan, basil, olive oil, garlic, oregano, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Gently form into 12 meatballs. Arrange evenly over the pasta sauce. Cover baking dish with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), 20 to 25 minutes.
