Ingredients

  • 2 cans vegetarian Skallops
  • 1/4 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1 large jar favorite spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 pound Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Dip each vegetarian Skallops into the beaten egg, then coat with the bread crumb mixture.
  3. Brown the coated Skallops in hot olive oil until golden brown.
  4. Layer the fried Skallops in a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  5. Spread a layer of spaghetti sauce over the Skallops.
  6. Sprinkle grated Mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Repeat layers if desired.
  8. Top with additional sauce and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
