Ingredients

  • 3 lb. frying chicken
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup Wesson oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

Instructions

  1. Shake the chicken in a paper bag with flour, salt, garlic salt, and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, brown the chicken in Wesson oil. Remove excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Combine sliced onion, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and vinegar. Pour the mixture over the browned chicken.
  4. Cook until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the flavors meld.
