Ingredients

  • 15 medium sized cucumbers, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric

Instructions

  1. Soak cucumbers in a mild salt solution using 1/2 cup salt. Drain well.
  2. Boil the syrup made with vinegar, sugar, celery seed, and turmeric for 5 minutes.
  3. Can while hot in sterilized jars.
