Ingredients

  • 4 squares bitter baking chocolate
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Heat the baking chocolate and milk together until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  2. Mix sugar and Crisco until well combined.
