Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb bacon diced
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 10 oz can diced clams
  • 1 cup potatoes diced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute bacon and chopped onions until bacon is crispy and onions are translucent.
  2. Add clam juice, water, and diced potatoes; bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender.
  3. Stir flour into 1/2 cup of milk until smooth, then add to the chowder, stirring until it thickens.
  4. Add remaining milk, diced clams, butter, salt, and pepper; heat to boiling and serve.
