Ingredients

  • 2 c. White Lily self-rising corn meal
  • 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat a well greased 10-inch iron skillet in a 425° oven.
  2. Blend all ingredients, stirring until moistened.
  3. Pour the mixture into the preheated skillet.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. When done, remove from oven and let sit for about 10 minutes, then remove from skillet and serve.
