Ingredients

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups grits
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 pound grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring 6 cups of water to a boil in a large pan.
  2. Add salt, 1 1/2 sticks of margarine, 1 1/2 cups of grits, 3 beaten eggs, 1 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce, and 1 pound of grated Cheddar cheese to the boiling water.
  3. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and cheese is melted.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle paprika on top before baking.
  6. Bake at 250°F (120°C) for 1 hour until set and bubbly.
