Ingredients

  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tablespoons bonnet margarine
  • 8 ounces thin spaghetti
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of water into a skillet; add chopped onion and cook until tender.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
  3. Drain excess grease from the skillet.
  4. Add bonnet margarine and stir until melted.
  5. Add tomato sauce or paste and salt and pepper; stir to combine.
  6. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Cook spaghetti according to box instructions.
  8. Rinse cooked spaghetti under cold water to separate strands and place in a large bowl.
  9. Pour the ground beef mixture over the spaghetti and mix well.
  10. Serve hot, yielding 4 to 6 servings.
