Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon margarine

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, and diced tomatoes in melted margarine.
  2. In another pan, brown the hamburger meat.
  3. Drain the hamburger and add the sauteed vegetables to the meat.
  4. Add tomato sauce and stir well.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 15 to 30 minutes after adding 1 teaspoon oregano.
  6. Pour the sauce over cooked elbow macaroni or spaghetti noodles and serve.
