Ingredients

  • 8 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. sausage meat
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix bread crumbs, celery, salt, pepper, and sage together.
  2. Beat the egg and add to the mixture.
  3. Mix with hot water to the desired consistency.
  4. Break sausage meat into small pieces and add to the bread mixture.
  5. Stuff a bird or put in a pan and bake at 300°F for 45 minutes.
