Ingredients

  • 2 (10 oz.) packages frozen chopped spinach or broccoli
  • 2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the frozen vegetables and chicken broth.
  2. Bring to a boil, uncovered, and simmer for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are limp.
  3. Melt margarine in a large saucepan.
  4. Stir in flour and pepper; cook and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually blend in milk, then sour cream.
  6. Stir in the vegetable mixture.
  7. Heat through and serve in cups.
  8. Sprinkle nutmeg on top before serving.
