Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 4 to 8 asparagus spears, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
  • 4 to 6 mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • dash of dill weed

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add chopped onion and mushrooms; cook until onion is clear.
  3. Add rice, chicken broth, and dill weed; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add asparagus pieces.
  6. Continue simmering until most liquid is absorbed.
