Ingredients

  • 1 can drained French-style green beans
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 to 5 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon until crispy and save the bacon grease.
  2. Drain the French-style green beans and set aside.
  3. In a pan, combine the drained beans, vinegar, sugar, crumbled bacon, and 2 to 3 tablespoons of bacon grease.
  4. Cook with the lid on for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid and cook until the liquid reduces to a syrup and is almost gone.
  6. Allow the beans to turn dark and serve once the syrup is thickened slightly.
