Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh squid
  • 1/2 head garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup squid broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 tomatoes, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Boil squid in garlic, vinegar, water, and salt until tender.
  2. Remove squid from the pot and discard membrane, eyes, and stomach.
  3. Set aside 1/2 cup of the squid broth.
  4. Cut the squid into 1-inch pieces and set aside.
