Stacy'S Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chuck ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil ⓘ
- 1/2 clove garlic or 1 1/2 Tbsp. garlic salt ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. basil (optional) ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3/4 Tbsp. parsley ⓘ
- 1 1/4 c. canned tomatoes ⓘ
- 1/2 can tomato paste (3 oz.) ⓘ
- 5 oz. lasagna noodles ⓘ
- 1 carton small curd cottage cheese ⓘ
- 1 egg, beaten ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 1 pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown meat in oil.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon basil, garlic salt, tomatoes and tomato paste.
- Simmer together 1 hour.
- Cook, drain and rinse noodles.
- Combine cottage cheese, rest of basil and Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, salt, pepper and parsley.
- Arrange in slightly greased casserole dish layers:
- noodles, cheese and meat sauce until all is used.
- Add Mozzarella on top.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until cheese is golden brown on top.
